Aubrey Methodist Choir Sings and Celebrates!

As printed in December 3, 2003 The Town Charter

The members of the Choir at Aubrey First United Methodist Church truly love to sing together!  They have fun at rehearsals, enjoy each other’s company and love to sing God’s praises.  In addition to singing in Sunday services, they have participated at both the Christmas Tree Lighting celebration and the Peanut Festival.

Once again, they will be singing at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will be held this Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.  The Choir will sing a selection from their upcoming Christmas musical as well as a selection by local Aubrey resident Patty Brockett.

A Song Was Born at Christmas is a musical celebration of the birth of the Messiah, which will be presented by the Choir this Sunday, December 7th at 10 a.m. at the Aubrey First United Methodist Church (113 W. Plum – just off Main St.).  The program includes solos by Janet Meyers, Lyndon Meyers, Kelby Trusty and Shelley Torres-West.

Aubrey First United Methodist Church is taking a Journey Home for Christmas.  This musical celebration is one of our stops along this Advent Journey.  The Journey will continue on following Sundays as we honor our Aubrey Firefighters and then welcome a liturgical dance troupe.  You are invited to take the Journey Home for Christmas with Aubrey First United Methodist Church.
