I am Abril Goforth, pastor of Aubrey First United Methodist Church, the church in the heart of Aubrey. I am a graduate of the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University and was appointed to First Church in June of 2007. I have two children, Katy, who is 19 years old and a sophomore at Texas A&M (Whoop!), and Zachary, who is 17 years old and a senior at Frisco High School (Go Raccoons!). We love football and marching band and spending time with friends and family.

Aubrey FUMC is a church with a rich heritage of faith and tradition, and will turn 150 years old in 2008. God has blessed us with many good things, and we are excited as we celebrate our past and look eagerly into the future.

 If you are a visitor to First Church, I look forward to meeting you. I encourage you to ask questions and get to know the members here, both those who have been around for awhile and those who are new. I am certain that you will find a warm welcome.
